2 Week
Board & Train
Advanced immersion for reliable off-leash control

This program is designed for dogs who already have a strong obedience foundation and are ready to transition to reliable off-leash control. Through daily, structured training in selected low-distraction environments, dogs learn to respond with clarity and consistency while off leash, with safety as the top priority. This program is not designed for behavior modification.

Board & Train
Immersive training for calm, reliable on-leash control

Our most popular Board & Train program is designed to build a well-mannered, responsive dog through professional, structured obedience training. Dogs learn both basic and advanced obedience commands while developing greater engagement, focus, leash manners, and responsiveness. This program is ideal for owners seeking a comprehensive obedience program with professional training followed by owner coaching to help maintain and continue their dog’s progress at home. It is designed for obedience training and is not intended for behavior modification.

Prerequisites: Board & Train dogs must be crate trained and housebroken prior to their start date. Puppies must complete the Online Puppy Course before enrolling. Pre-training may be required for all dogs.

2 Week Behavior Modification Board & Train
For dogs struggling with reactivity, aggression, fear, or anxiety-
This program is designed for dogs who struggle with reactivity, aggression, or fear-based responses to everyday triggers such as other dogs, people, or environments. Through structured, trainer-guided work in selected settings, we focus on improving impulse control, emotional regulation, and safe, appropriate responses around those triggers. All training is conducted on leash in environments determined by the Trainer to prioritize safety. Muzzle use and conditioning may be required for some dogs. You will receive a simple at-home video guide, and trainer support is available upon request.

Puppy Training Consultation
Curriculum & Expectations
This consultation will give your new pup a good foundation for basic obedience! We can teach you how to house train your dog so they quit having accidents in the house! Also, we will train your pup to let you know when it has to go outside. Finally, we will be happy to answer any questions you have regarding your new puppy or its’ training.

Therapy Dog Preparation
8 Week Program
Is your goal to have your dog become a therapy dog? This specially designed 8-lesson course prepares you and your dog for their therapy dog testing and certification. Many of our former clients easily pass their therapy dog certification after our training program. Upon successful completion of this program, we can evaluate and certify you and your dog through Therapy Pets Unlimited.

Aggressive dog Training
8 Week Program
This specially designed program is for dogs with aggression or reactivity issues around other dogs. This 8-lesson program includes our basic obedience package, as well as additional lessons working with you & your dog around other dogs in different scenarios. This will give you and you dog the skills, tools, and desensitization necessary to put you back in control.

Behavior Modification Lessons
Helping dogs develop calmer, safer behavioral responses-
Behavior Modification Lessons are designed for owners who want to address deeper behavioral challenges that require a more individualized approach than standard obedience training. Every dog receives a customized training plan based on their specific needs. This program emphasizes active owner participation while helping owners develop the skills, confidence, and safe handling practices needed to better understand and manage their dog’s behavior. Due to the nature of these cases, Behavior Modification Lessons require a higher level of structure, trainer guidance, and owner commitment than standard obedience training. Muzzle conditioning and use may be required based on the trainer’s assessment to help maintain a safe training environment. A simple at-home muzzle conditioning video guide is provided before the first lesson when needed.

Basic Obedience Foundations
Building clear communication and calm everyday manners-
Our Basic Lessons program is the ideal starting point for owners who want to take an active, hands-on role in their dog's training. Dogs learn all core obedience commands while owners develop the skills, confidence, and handling techniques needed to continue training at home. This foundational program is well suited for puppies starting at 5 months of age, young dogs, and owners looking to establish a solid obedience foundation before progressing to Basic & Advanced Obedience, Behavior Modification, or, when appropriate, a Board & Train program. It is designed as a starter obedience program and is not intended for proofing or behavior modification.

GLOSSARY OF Terms & COMMANDS
Basic Commands
Come: Dog will come when called
Sit (and Extended Sit): Dog will sit on-command and hold their sit until they are released
Down (and Extended Down): Dog will lie down and stay until released
Place: Dog will sit on a specific location/object that you point to (chair, park bench, etc) and remain on the object until released
Loose Leash Walking: (walk right beside of you on a leash)
Off: (Dog will not jump on you or anyone else)
Advanced Commands
Extended Distance Obedience: Dog will obey commands from a distance of 50+ yards
Heel: Dog will come to you and sit behind your left leg
Watch: Dog will stare at you until released
Through: Dog will go in between your legs and sit
Stand: Dog will rise from a sit or down position
Front: Dog will come to you and sit in front of you
Focused Heel: Dog will stare at you the entire time they heel
Touch: Dog will stand up against anything you point to
Casting/Send Away/Load-Up: Dog is sent away to a desired location (example: Load into vehicle or crate)
Leave It: Dog will not touch or eat something
Greeting Manners: Dog will greet strangers (at the door or on the street) politely – without jumping
Meal Manners: Dog will wait politely for meals until released
Door Manners: Dog will wait politely at doors and gates until they are opened and the dog is released
General Obedience Terms
Break: a cue that the dog may release from a command.
Aggression: When a dog displays the threat of harm to another individual or dog – involving snarling, growling, snapping, biting, barking or lunging. Aggression can be due to guarding territory or protecting a family member, resource guarding, fear, frustration, prey drive and/or pain. NOTE: It is impossible to guarantee complete fixes of major behavioral issues such as dog aggression/people aggression. We can give you control and better help manage these issues.
Reactivity: Commonly confused with aggression. Dogs that are reactive are those that overreact to certain things or situations. Reactivity can be due to genetics, lack of proper socialization or a combination of the two and is typically driven by fear. Reactive dogs may have certain triggers such as men with beards or hats, small children or being on a leash.
Distractions: Distractions can be sounds, smells, other humans, dogs, or other stimuli that detract from a dog’s ability to remain focused.
Marker: A marker is just a stimulus that pinpoints the behavior used to earn a reward. It can be a clicker, a verbal cue (“Good Boy!”) or other.
